A new campaign by the UFL for the 2025 season shows that the league is making substantial progress in connecting with local fanbases.
On Tuesday, the league announced the “More of What You Love” campaign, focusing on national and local storytelling. The league will have more content surrounding local fanbases and telling stories specifically to a team.
“More of What You Love represents the intense passion for the game that we can’t get enough of,” said UFL Executive Vice President of Marketing & Team Operations Brooke Campbell. “The UFL is fueling football-hungry communities by delivering more ways to access, experience, show your hometown pride, and enjoy the game we all love and crave year-round.”
This is a great start for the UFL to ensure they are doing more to be visible in local markets. Last year, the lack of marketing in each of the eight cities was noticeable but forgiven since the league only had three months to launch the regular season.
Having a full offseason under their belts appears to be paying off. The new campaign has a chance to do things that fans have been asking for from the UFL since last year.

One big aspect of the campaign that should be highlighted is more player features from each of the eight teams. The USFL and XFL did a great job of this when each league did their documentary shows and it was sorely missing from last year. Learning more about the stars or future stars of teams is a great way to connect better with the teams.
Highlighting the fans is another great way to have fans feel included as well. From the beer snake in D.C. to the die hard Battlehawks fans, there are plenty of stories to be told about the people who make or break a league’s success.
A personal thing I would like to see as well is having content around players and coaches in local markets doing special events or community work. Getting players and coaches out in the communities and showing that they care about connecting with fans would go a long way. There can be difficulty with that since everyone is based in Arlington, Texas but it’s still the number one thing the league needs to do.
The campaign is a great idea for the league and while there haven’t been specific ideas shown on how they will execute this, the UFL is attempting to connect more with fans which is a massive step in making 2025 and beyond work.
