It’s Week 4 of the UFL season, and after the tight games played in Week 3, this week has a lot to live up to.

Last week, I went 1-3 in my predictions. Overall, I have a 7-5 record for the season. Here is a look at all four games this week with previews and my predictions:

Showboats-Panthers Game Details

Image via X @TheUFL

Location: Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan

Date and Time: Friday, April 18 at 8:00 pm EST

Network: FOX

Betting Odds via DraftKings: Panthers -7.5, O/U 36.5

Key Injuries

The Showboats will be without wide receiver Isaiah Washington, who is out with a concussion. Michigan has three players listed as out: quarterback Danny Etling (concussion), tight end Gunnar Oakes (chest), and strong safety Tyree Gillespie (right calf).

Keys to Victory

Jim Turner is officially the Showboats’ interim head coach for the rest of the season. Turner’s focus is on getting the offense rolling. Noel Mazzone steps in as the new offensive coordinator, focusing on getting quarterback E.J. Perry rolling early and getting the ball in Jonathan Adams’ hands often. Memphis’ defense has to be prepared to contain quarterback Bryce Perkins and stop the running game.

Michigan needs to get running backs Nate McCrary and Jaden Shirden the ball on early downs, as McCrary can get the tough yards and Shirden can be the home run hitter. The Panthers’ secondary has a chance to feast on Perry and the Showboats’ offense as safety Kai Nacua could be in for a big day with turnovers.

Prediction: Panthers 23, Showboats 12

Battlehawks-Renegades Game Details

Image via X @TheUFL

Location: Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas

Date and Time: Saturday, April 19 at 12:30 pm EST

Network: ABC

Betting Odds via DraftKings: Battlehawks -1.5, O/U 39.5

Key Injuries

St. Louis will be without two key players on offense with guard Abdul Beecham (left finger) and wide receiver Hakeem Butler (left hamstring) not playing, and defensive end Phil Hoskins (illness, lower back, right knee) listed as questionable. The Renegades only had outside linebacker Tuzar Skipper (right foot) listed as out, but he was released by the team this week to make room for Taco Charlton.

Keys to Victory

Battlehawks quarterback Manny Wilkins struggled with turnovers last week and has to make better decisions. Watch for St. Louis to keep things simpler offensively with more runs and shorter completions in the passing game. The defensive line can pressure Renegades quarterback Luis Perez throughout the game.

Arlington has to look at quick passes with plenty of slants and screen passes being called. Perez must throw the ball away more often in the red zone instead of taking sacks. The Renegades’ defense should stack eight in the box to stop the run.

Prediction: Battlehawks 18, Renegades 14

Stallions-Roughnecks Game Details

Image via X @TheUFL

Location: TDECU Stadium in Houston, Texas

Date and Time: Saturday, April 19 at 7:00 pm EST

Network: FOX

Betting Odds via DraftKings: Stallions -7.5, O/U 36.5

Key Injuries

Birmingham has a lot of guys listed on the injury report on both sides of the ball. Here are all the injuries the Stallions have with guys who are listed as out or doubtful:

  • Cole Scheider, G (right ankle) OUT

  • Jarron Jones, T (right ribs) OUT

  • Kenny Robinson Jr., SS (left ankle) OUT

  • Mario Goodrich, CB (left ankle) OUT

  • Ricky Person Jr., RB (left ankle) doubtful

The Roughnecks have two players listed as out for the game: cornerbacks Colby Richardson (left groin) and Corn Elder (personal reasons). Offensive guard Noah Atagi is listed as questionable as he has been resting out of practice all week.

Keys to Victory

Birmingham has to be prepared for short passes and place a QB Spy on Roughnecks quarterback Nolan Henderson to keep him in the pocket. Stallions starting quarterback Matt Corral needs to establish rhythm early with quick, easy passes before taking deep shots from the second quarter until the end of the game.

It’s good to see Henderson in at quarterback as he has been a spark plug for this Houston offense all season, with a nice balance of using his legs and completing easy passes. The Roughnecks are banged up at cornerback, so it’ll be on former first-round pick Damon Arnette to create turnovers and shut down the Stallions’ top receiver, Deon Cain.

Prediction: Stallions 28, Roughnecks 9

Brahmas-Defenders Game Details

Image via X @XFLBrahmas

Location: Audi Field in Washington, D.C.

Date and Time: Sunday, April 20 at 5:00 pm EST

Network: FOX

Betting Odds via DraftKings: Defenders -7.5, O/U 37.5

Key Injuries

For D.C., inside linebacker Ferrod Gardner (right elbow) and strong safety Sam Kidd (right foot) have not practiced this week. Starting cornerback Deandre Baker didn’t practice Wednesday, but was limited in practice on Thursday with a right shoulder injury. Defensive end Derick Roberson was limited in Thursday’s practice with a lower back injury.

Two Brahmas players have not practiced all week: offensive guard Derrick Kelly II with a left shoulder injury and kicker Donald De La Haye with a right groin injury. Defensive tackle Matt Gotel was limited in practice on Wednesday but did not practice on Thursday with a left ankle injury. Tight end Alizé Mack was limited in practice Thursday with a left hamstring injury.

Keys to Victory

With Payton Pardee running the show as the interim head coach, he needs to call the same game he did last week. Giving Anthony McFarland Jr. the ball, whether in the passing or running game, has to be part of the game plan. The secondary will be tested with the Defenders’ top receiver Chris Rowland as a deep threat.

D.C. quarterback Jordan Ta’amu is the league’s leading passer, so the Defenders need to keep the balance of running with Abram Smith and Deon Jackson while attacking it down the field in the passing game. The Defenders have the league’s best defensive front so all they have to do is shut down McFarland and pressure Brahmas quarterback Kellen Mond to throw him off.

Prediction: Defenders 21, Brahmas 15
