2025 UFL Season: Week 2 Players of the Week

Week 2 of the UFL is complete as the fears of a labor strike, in addition to the hope of expansion seem like a distant memory as the 2nd season is on its way. Week 2 showed fans plenty of promise for some teams while other teams found themselves being exactly who we thought they were. With the season continuing to ramp up Alt-Football Digest took it upon themselves to hand out Player of the Week honors for those who have distinguished themselves from their peers.

Offensive Player of the Week: Jacob Saylors RB St. Louis Battlehawks 11 Carries 46 Yds 3 TD, 3 Receptions 25 Yds

Saylors though a bit less dramatic did a lot of dirty work this week, as the Battlehawks took their revenge against the San Antonio Brahmas. Saylors was once again versatile in through the air and the ground accounting for 71 All-Purpose Yards and 3 hard fought touchdowns, in addition to a 2-point conversion. Saylors lead the UFL in Touchdowns in 2024, and with 4 going into Week 3, is primed to do it again.

Defensive Player of the Week: d.j. mILLER DB mICHIGAN pANTHERs 1Tkl, 2 INT, 3 pASS dEFLECTIONS

Miller has been highlighted tremendously this week, so it’s only fitting we give him praise. The Kent State alum battled with 6’5 TE Jordan Thomas besting the NFL alum several times. Miller finished the game with 2 Interceptions and 3 Pass Deflections while serving as a bright spot for the Michigan Defense despite their loss.

Special Teams Player of the Week: mARQUETTE kING Arlington Renegades 5 punts 230 yds 45.0 avg lg of 69

Punters are people too and Marquette King showed his skills were not only with rapping but also with his leg (still). In a 11-9 victory, King help flip the field multiple times for the Renegades including a booming 69-yard punt.
