As the 2025 UFL season is set to begin in less than 45 days, it’s time for Alt-Football Digest to unveil its preseason All-UFL team. With the UFL proving itself to be an adequate platform for players to showcase their talents, the 2025 All-UFL team has plenty of players primed to make their impact for the upcoming season in hopes of achieving NFL glory.
QB: Luis Perez - Arlington Renegades
Perez has been consistently one of spring football’s most consistent quarterbacks but has yet to be selected for an All-League honor. With a career that includes several NFL stints, the AAF, USFL, TSL, UFL, and XFL Perez has amassed 7,674 Passing Yards and 51 Passing Touchdowns over Six spring seasons and looks to earn All-UFL honors in his 7th season as a pro.
RB: Abram Smith - D.C. Defenders
Smith’s 2024 season was over before it started due to a knee injury, however as 2025 rolls in the Defenders are in a similar situation as they were this time last year. With retirements, and departures at Wide Receiver once again again, Smith might be asked to once again shoulder the load for D.C. in an effort to aid the Defenders diminished passing attack.
RB: John Lovett- San Antonio Brahmas
While many may not be sure if Lovett is even RB1 for the Brahmas at this point it seems that the former PSU/Baylor Running Back is in a put up or shut up for not just the Brahmas, but also his football career. Lovett has shown flashes of dominance over his career, however with a healthy offensive line he easily could be one of the best in the league.
WR: Hakeem Butler- St. Louis Battlehawks
Not much to write here. Butler has been a Top-3 WR in the UFL/XFL, and should easily reclaim his spot on the 2025 All-UFL this season. Butler earned the UFL’s OPOY award in 2024, and despite a new face at QB for the Battlehawks, the 6’6 Iowa State alum has all the tools to put together another great season for St. Louis.
WR: Siaosi Mariner- Michigan Panthers
Mariner was a late-season signing by the Panther joining the team on April 4th. The former CFL receiver easily filled the void of Joe Walker, and Ish Hyman for Michigan allowing stability for all Four Panthers QBs. With a full training camp, Mariner can easily rise to become Bryce Perkins' go-to guy, especially with Trey Quinn, Devin Gray, and Terry Wright no longer with the team.
WR Davion Davis- Birmingham Stallions
Davis is an exciting prospect to bring back to the UFL, especially with the return of 2023 USFL MVP Alex McGough. Davis hauled in 39 receptions for 575 yds and 4 TDs in 2023 for Birmingham with the potential to continue his dominance with Jace Sternberger, Deon Cain, and Austin Watkins drawing attention as well. Regardless if Davis puts together a similar stat line as he did in 2023, expect a Birmingham WR to have a place on the 2025 All-UFL team.
WR: Jontre Kirklin- San Antonio Brahmas
Despite being statistically one of the better Wide Receivers in the XFL and UFL the past two years, Kirklin has missed out on all-league honors. The former LSU standout dealt with injuries in 2023 and put together 614 receiving yards in 2024. With Kellen Mond set to be the Brahmas QB1 look for another 500-plus yards from Kirklin once again.
TE: Jace Sternberger- Birmingham Stallions
Sternberger has gone back-to-back years of dominance in the UFL, earning All-League honors in 2023 and 2024. The former 3rd round pick has been spring football’s best TE since joining the Stallions and like Davis should benefit from the arsenal of weapons for Alex McGough. With Sal Cannella not re-signed and Cody Latimer Retired Sternberger should breeze to his 3rd All-League selection.
C: Mike Panasiuk- St. Louis Battlehawks
After converting to Center only a couple of years ago, Panasuik earned All-XFL and All-UFL honors despite being a novice at the position. With another year of experience and coaching from new Battlehawks Offensive Line Coach (and NFL alum) Marc Colombo expect Mike P as he’s known to his teammates to continue to dominate en route to his third postseason accolade.
G: Garrett McGhin- Arlington Renegades
McGhin was an All-USFL selection for the New Jersey Generals in 2022 and started 10 games in 2023, who was poised for another season of dominance before an early injury in 2024 cut his season short. With a year of rehab and the coaching of Jonathan Himebach, McGhin could surprise a lot of critics with an All-UFL selection in 2025.
G: Jake Burton- Michigan Panthers
Burton was a nice surprise for the Panthers coming over from the Philadelphia Stars during the UFL Dispersal Draft starting 10 games for Michigan en route to a contract with the Lions. Burton hosted a PFF grade of over 74.6 as a pass blocker setting himself up nicely in 2025 for an All-UFL selection.
T: Yasir Durant- D.C. Defenders
Durant’s versatility may not have graded him as high as others who stick to one position, but Durant improved mightily over the 2024 UFL season. Going into the age-27 Durant armed with the size and strength of a 6’7, 330 LB frame should easily become one of the UFL’s mauling Tackles for 2025.
T: Jarrett Horst- Michigan Panthers
This may be a bit controversial, but I think it’s time that Horst finally takes the step that warranted him being the USFL’s #1 Overall Pick. Horst struggled at times during the 2024 season but hopefully with a year under his belt of training and experience, he’ll warrant a vast improvement in addition to an All-UFL selection.
DE: Breeland Speaks- Michigan Panthers
Speaks has gone back-to-back years of being one of spring football’s most dominant Defensive Linemen. Speaks has registered 86 Tackles, 18.5 Sacks, 2 All-League selections, 2 Defensive Player of the Week Awards, and the 2024 Defensive Player of the Year Award since joining the Michigan Panthers in 2023. With Speaks signed for 2025 expect him (like many on this list) to earn another All-League selection at the end of the 2025 season.
DE: Malik Fisher- D.C. Defenders
After serving as a reserve in 2023, Fisher finally broke into the starting rotation finishing Top-5 in Sacks in 2024. With another year under his belt, plus coaching at the NFL level with the Houston Texans, Fisher may have a shot to earn his 1st All-UFL selection in addition to another NFL opportunity.
DT: Boogie Roberts- Memphis Showboats
A fan favorite, Roberts in 2023 was one of the USFL’s most underrated Defensive Linemen. After being waived by the Defenders in 2024, Roberts, refreshed and revitalized should be able to find continuity in Memphis’ Defense now led by his old DC Jarren Horton.
DT: Carlos Davis- Birmingham Stallions
Davis totaled 7.0 sacks in his 1st year with the Stallions enroute to a 2024 All-UFL selection. The former Nebraska alum should once again with the help of the Stallions Front Seven find himself as a dominant force for Birmingham, earning another All-UFL selection in 2025.
LB: Kyahva Tezino- Birmingham Stallions
With 245 career Tackles and another year in the system, Tezino could easily remain one of the UFL’s more eye-popping LB’s in 2025. Tezino still holds above-average instincts, and athleticism going into his age-28 season. With a couple more “good” years left for Tezino expect him to put together another season at the top of leaderboards for Birmingham.
LB: Frank Ginda - Michigan Panthers
Injuries derailed Ginda of another All-League selection in 2024, but expect him to come back with a vengeance in 2025. Ginda’s 287 Tackles are among the highest of Spring Football Players and he easily should find himself Top-5 in Tackles once again leading to him being selected to the All-UFL team in 2025.
LB: Willie Harvey- St. Louis Battlehawks
Harvey gets the nod over Rose due to his ability to stay healthy. Though a year older Harvey still had enough gas to earn multiple NFL workouts, and opportunities after his 2024 season. With his NFL opportunities coming to a close expect a last hurrah for Harvey that allows him to earn an All–UFL selection.
CB: Greedy Williams- San Antonio Brahmas
Williams can easily revitalize his NFL career with a solid showing in the UFL this season. A second-round pick in 2019, Williams showcases good length with the ability to play both man and zone, Williams can thrive in Wade Phillips Defense which has seen 10 players earn NFL contracts and 4 players earn All-League selections over the past 2 years.
CB: Cameron Dantzler- Memphis Showboats
I wasn’t that high on Dantzler until I saw that Jarren Horton was returning to spring football as the Showboats DC. Dantzler had a stint with the Brahmas and Ti-Cats last year, before joining Memphis and like Williams showcases a long frame that allows him to blanket the UFL’s more dominant Receivers. Coupled with the scheme of Horton that allowed Mark Gilbert to be one of the USFL’s best DBs in the league expect Dantzler to bounce back from his underwhelming 2024.
S: Lukas Denis- St. Louis Battlehawks
A returnee to the Battlehawks from 2023, Denis spent all of 23 with the Atlanta Falcons on their Practice Squad, before being waived in 2024 after training camp. Denis was an absolute stud for St. Louis in 2023, serving as a ballhawk while also being an extremely capable tackler. Factor in 6 preseason games in the NFL, and 1.5 years of NFL coaching expect Denis to pick up right where he left off from his last go-around with the Battlehawks.
S: Kenny Robinson- Birmingham Stallions
I had Robinson in my preseason All-UFL team in 2024, and while he didn’t earn a selection there is no doubt he was extremely serviceable for Birmingham this past season. Robinson at age 26 is coming into his prime and with a full offseason of good health should be able to elevate his play this season.
Kicker: Rodrigo Blankenship- St. Louis Battlehawks
Bounce back kickers are a fun topic in spring football and Blankenship is primed to make a big impact this year. After earning an opportunity with Colts in 2020, Blankenship put together a solid rookie year for Indy, before injuries derailed a promising NFL career. Now healthy Blankenship is primed to make the 2025 a rebirth that quickly finds him back in an NFL camp.
Punter: Matt Mengal- Memphis Showboats
No bias here! Mengal is our guy and after a year off should find his way to an All-League selection in 2025. The former UCLA Bruin really came into his own in 2023 and was hurt by the merger that took away 8 punters from the spring football rotation. Mengal who has been training with former NFL specialist John Carney, is primed for a big return in 2025 to showcase his big leg for the Showboats.
Long Snapper: Ryan Langen- Birmingham Stallions
Oftentimes I feel as if the Long Snapper selection may turn into a popularity contest due to the difficulty of tracking traditional stats. With Langen dealing with a new kicker in the special teams battery, I personally feel it may force him (and his holder Colby Wadman) to really elevate their game in hopes of 1st-year kicker Harrison Mevis to contribute on the same level as Brandon Aubrey had in 2022 and 2023.
Returner: Chris Rowland- DC Defenders
Pretty easy for me on this one. Rowland was one of the UFL’s top return men last year and put out a decent showing at Wide Receiver as well. The dynamic returner should be able to utilize the “XFL” kickoff to maximize his value for more yards, and possibly an NFL control this season.
