Greg Parks One-On-One: ESPN Lead UFL Producer Bill Bonnell

Bill Bonnell is an executive producer at ESPN and the lead college football producer on ABC’s Saturday Night Football. This season, he will be in charge of UFL programming on ESPN and ABC. This is not Bonnell’s first experience producing spring football: He worked on the XFL’s return on ESPN in 2020, and had a hand in producing the original XFL on NBC in 2001. I had the opportunity to talk to Bonnell on Monday about what fans can expect from the upcoming UFL broadcasts, what it was like working on the XFL in 2001, and much more.
